You've probably seen it before: a stunning Instagram grid with 10,000 followers and zero business impact. Beautiful photos, thousands of likes, and yet — the phone doesn't ring.

Instagram can absolutely generate leads. But only if your account is built with that intention. Most aren't.

The three-layer Instagram funnel

Every business Instagram account should be structured around three layers of content, working together to move strangers into customers.

Layer 1: Discovery (Reels)

Reels are the top of your funnel. They're how new audiences discover you. Instagram's algorithm actively pushes Reels to non-followers, which means each Reel is a chance to reach thousands of people who've never heard of you.

Layer 2: Trust (Grid posts and carousels)

Once someone lands on your profile from a Reel, they'll scroll your grid. This is where you build credibility.

Layer 3: Conversion (Bio, Stories, DMs)

This is where the actual business happens. Your bio must clearly state what you do, who you serve, and how to contact you.

Followers are vanity. DMs are revenue.

At Elevate, we build Instagram strategies designed for measurable outcomes, not just aesthetics.
